Luke 7:36-50 highlights the power and depth of Jesus’ love and forgiveness, both during his whole ministry and still today. In contrast to Simon the Pharisee’s lack of genuine worship, the sinful woman surrenders her entire self to Jesus, even to the point of giving up the most important thing in her life to the person who gave her life. Do not become like the Pharisee who let his pride interfere with surrendering fully to Jesus. Instead, let your love pour out for Jesus, allowing Him to determine what is right and wrong. Jesus wants all of our worship—let your heart sing out in spirit and truth.
