As the walls of Jerusalem are dedicated, the people rejoice in God’s faithfulness, but it doesn’t take long for spiritual drift to return. Nehemiah reminds us that rebuilding walls was never the ultimate goal; rebuilding hearts was. We are taught to intentionally practice gratitude, stay faithful for the long haul, and let God lead our lives so we can influence others to fully follow Him.
