In Luke 1:26–38, Mary faces overwhelming fear—an unexpected pregnancy, possible rejection from Joseph and her community, and the weight of being chosen to carry God’s Son. Yet God meets her fear with His presence, grace, and power: “The Lord is with you… Do not be afraid… Nothing is impossible with God.” Mary doesn’t have all the answers, but she chooses trust over fear, believing God is greater than what scares her. Like her, we carry fears about acceptance, the future, our worth, and whether we’re enough. Christmas reminds us that Jesus came to be God with us, the One who walks with us, loves us, and makes the impossible possible. Because of this, we can place our fears in His hands and trust Him this Christmas season.
