As we discussed last week, the Bible shows that marriage and sex were God’s ideas first. So what does the Bible say about same-sex marriages? There are five passages in the Bible that specifically address same-sex sexual activity. While there are different interpretations amongst Christians, each of those passages prohibits same-sex sexual activity. In addition, throughout the Bible, only sexual relationships between one man and one woman in marriage are affirmed. Christians today should study God’s Word for themselves, trust and worship Him with their lives, and always speak the truth in love. After all, the undeniable truth of God’s Word is this: Every human being is sinful before God, yet God loves us so much that He saved us through Jesus Christ.
